PBI has contributed so many qualified English teachers to this country, and now they can be found almost in all parts of Indonesia. Also, many English experts were born from this Program. USD owes much to this Program, since "English" becomes USD's identity.
Sastra Inggris proves the "world" as the best place to study English by its "A" accreditation , accessed by DIKTI, Only qualified students enroll here, because they must finish, at least, 156 credits to graduate from this Program. And, those are about English literatures and linguistics.
Lembaga Bahasa (Language Institution) provides English trainings, which are non-degree programs. One of them, which is so popular, is English Extension Course (EEC). Many people feel "close" with Sanata Dharma because of their involvement in this Program. Now EEC also provides "TOEFL" for those who want to enhance their TOEFL score.
SAC (Self Access Center) is one of the facilities provided in the English Department of USD, and it belongs to Languange Laboratory management. This is the place where students can improve independently their English skills, and this stands as the extension of their English classes.
